FAQs

I’m looking for fitness classes near me. Where are you located?

Our studio is located at 1024 Washington Ave. S., Minneapolis, in the bottom floor retail spaces of the Bridgewater Condominium Building, with access both from the street (Washington Ave.), and via the indoor parking spaces for the Bridgewater retail stores.

I’ve never worked out before. Will I be able to do a class?

We’re thrilled you’re thinking about getting into shape with us! Thanks to our progressive series of ZeSa® Activator Training Platforms, ZeSa’s Fitness Program and Classes are accessible to all ages and levels of fitness. The class is challenging, and we do recommend you take the Intro Class especially if you’re new to working out, or have recently been through injury rehab or recovered from an illness or health issue and have your physician’s permission to begin working out again.

I’m in great shape. Will this be challenging enough for me?

YES! In fact, this is the additional challenge you may be looking for and won’t be able to get anywhere else. The ZeSa focus on a progressive series of unstable training platforms results in a far more dynamic and rapid development of strength, agility and balance based on the abundance of bio-feedback and maximum muscle recruitment generated by instability.

In short, even if you’re really fit, ZeSa’s ability to enhance your workout will have you coming back for more.

Is there an age limit to attend a class?

Yes, minimum age to attend class with a guardian is 15 years old. You must be 18 years old to attend without an adult.

When should I arrive for class? Can I still attend class if I’m late?

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the class schedule start time, especially if this is your first time so we can appropriately choose your ZeSa® Activator Training Platform level and become familiar with our studio, as we do want you to have the best possible ZeSa experience.

What should I wear and what should I bring?

Wear clothes that you are comfortable working out in and your own towel for sweat or for a post-class shower if you want. You will have your own large and comfortable round ZeSa mat for your use during class. For the best possible experience, we recommend you go barefoot, so no shoes or socks are necessary. We do have an eco-friendly filtered water dispenser for your water bottles.

Do you have storage for my personal belongings?

Yes, we do have small lockers available for your use. Note that the lockers aren’t locked but feel free to bring your own lock if you desire.

When will I start to see results?

Thanks to the unstable ZeSa® Activator Training Platforms, you will feel muscle activation and recruitment almost immediately during class, and will actually feel great results after your first class.

How many days per week should I come to class?

The ZeSa classes incorporate multi-functional movements in all three planes of movement, and are therefore much more efficient than working muscles in isolation or striving for muscle fatigue. You will feel stronger and regenerated rather than exhausted and fatigued following class, so you could attend class every day or every other day if you wish, with maximal benefits and no detrimental effects.

If you’re only able to attend class once or twice per week, you will still feel and see amazing results.

If I take the 30-minute intro class, will I still have a good workout?

The Intro Class is designed to introduce you to the ZeSa® Activator Training Platforms and to instability training, together with the postures used during our classes.  Even though you will definitely feel muscle activation and recruitment, the Intro Class is not designed to provide you with an intense full body workout.

What are the class sizes?

Our classes are small and limited to no more than 16 people. We believe in providing a personalized experience. When you arrive, your own ZeSa mat together with a selection of dumbbells and kettle bells will be completely set up and ready to go. Our classes are all similar to a group training session, rather than a large, packed class, for your best possible workout experience.

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to limited number of spaces available and high demand for our classes, you can change or cancel your class up to 12 hours before the class starts. Note that we don’t give cash refunds. Cancelled classes goes back into your account for you to use at a later date.

Will my spot be given away if I’m late for class?

No, we do understand that traffic jams and life happen. If you arrive late, your spot will be held and you can slip in and join our class in progress when you arrive.

Is there a waitlist for full classes?

Yes, and we strongly recommend putting your name on the waitlist for a particular class! Not only will you have better luck getting into a class, it also helps us know where we need to add more classes.

Where do I park?

There is metered street parking on the streets in front of the studio and the surrounding area.  There is also limited free indoor parking for the Bridgewater Condominium retail spaces. That entrance is marked as “Parking for Retail and Guests” and the entrance is on 11th Ave. between South 2nd St. and Washington Ave.
